The Client

The Dubai School of Government (DSG) is a research and teaching institution, focusing on public policy in the Arab world. Established in 2005 in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, DSG aims to promote good governance through enhancing the region’s capacity for effective public policy.

The Need

DSG is a leading research and training institute that provides a range of instructions in effective public policy development, implementation and analysis. Academicians, researchers, dignitaries and other experts in specialized areas often visit the school to hold discussions, attend seminars and delivering lectures on many burning issues related to governance, society, economy and environment etc. Faculty and researchers from DSG also appear frequently on various social/economic/media forums for interviews and discussions. These events result in a vast collection of unstructured content that has a great value for students and researchers alike. The school also has other valuable information such as its mission, faculty/researchers and academic programs to share with its students. DSG was in need to have a fully customized content management system that could be easily integrated with their existing system for round-the-clock content management and updating. In addition, a custom built, fully integrated Learning Management System was also necessary. The need was also felt to have a customized solution for their executive education program that would enable students to enroll into the academic programs of their choice as well as to pay fee for the same online.

The Solution

BNK carefully analyzed the requirements and delivered a solution that became our pride and client’s lifeline. The project that was started as a simple content management solution was eventually delivered much more – as new opportunities were sensed and seized with the advancement of the project.
